into your hands. Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.”
“But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it. And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each man, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of his fellow man.”
In the 1960’s, school children were taught in science class that solar energy was close to being perfected as a complete energy source to operate homes and facilities across the nation. Films were viewed depicting homes in warmer climates completely relying on solar power for all energy needs. Scientists expected and predicted that within a few years, even structures in colder climates would be using solar power as a main source of energy. This instruction seemed to abruptly end in the early years of the 1970’s. The promise of clean, safe, and inexpensive solar energy was quickly forgotten as people became more concerned with the “oil crisis” and the subsequent embargos. Now is the time to seriously reinvestigate the unlimited potential of solar power. The fact that solar power is a 100% clean energy source versus the other fossil fuel alternatives, that are responsible for about 70% of the world’s pollution, makes clear that solar power implementation and the perfection thereof, be a worldwide priority.
Some packaging, especially certain materials used to contain food products are at minimum of questionable safety. Foods wrapped or contained in plastic run the risk of contamination by the chemicals in the plastic. Some people can taste plastic in the bottled water. The taste is more pronounced when the water is consumed at room temperature. Baby formula packaged in cans with a plastic lining, has been found to contain plastic residues that could possibly inflict harm on the infant. Many of the United States water supply companies add fluoride to the public water system. The apparent reason given for adding this chemical is concern for the health of teeth among the population. In researching fluoride, one can understand the dangers of this substance. Fluoride in the water has been used in the past by rogue governments to sedate prisoners and has also caused a myriad of other health problems including cancer and damages to the thyroid gland which can lead to dementia.
Exposure to radiation is another major health concern as radiation exposure has unequivocally been linked to cancer and has caused other health problems as well. Some of the products that emit radiation include cell phones, microwave ovens, airport scanners including full body and metal detector scanners, various x-rays including dental, breast screening, computer tomography’s (CT scans), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), retina scans, computer and television screens, tanning salons, and power lines to identify several sources. A few countries in the world have outlawed microwave ovens citing radiation dangers. In addition, food cooked in a microwave oven loses nutritional value, which may be of special concern to families with children living at home. Cell phone usage has been linked to brain cancer and other cognitive difficulties. Cell phone transmissions have also negatively affected crop pollinators such as honey bees, which has resulted in a decline of food production.
