Some people have complained that they would otherwise enjoy a fruit and nut cake, if it were not for some of the bitter pieces of candied fruit found inside the cake. A recipe shown in a newspaper from the 1960’s has solved this problem and is shown below. This cake is easy to prepare and is very flavorful. Ingredients: one large can of fruit cocktail (29 ounces), two cups of sugar, three eggs, two tablespoons of rum (optional) three cups of sifted flour, three teaspoons of baking soda, one teaspoon of salt, two teaspoons of cinnamon, one and one half cups of chopped walnuts or pecans, and one and one half cups of raisins. Oven temperature: 325 degrees. Bake for two hours. Instructions: Mix the dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Add the can of fruit cocktail including the juice to the dry mix and blend together. Beat the eggs, add the rum, and add to the mixture, stir well. Add the raisins and nuts. Stir until well blended. Pour into a well greased tube pan and bake.
When a separation of legitimate Church (religion) and State is a policy in a nation, the population of people should prepare for huge political, social, economic, psychological, and spiritual problems, upheavals, and unrest if this situation is accepted by the majority.
Based on extremes of coveting occurring throughout the world, the wearing of a burqa for all people is not an illogical idea. Who would desire to converse with an acquaintance in town who may be involved in violating the personal privacies of others or who may be attacked by others including ones self due to the topics of conversation? Burqas allow for the anonymity of an individual where one is not recognized but can attend to business or procure needed essentials in the market place anonymously.
Many times galas such as golfing events, picnics, and festivals are organized to help raise money for people in dire straits. For examples, galas raise money for people who are suffering from cancer or others diseases that may or may not be terminal or for people who suffer from hunger and poverty. These galas of cheer, seem to be an inappropriate way to assist people who are suffering. Probably donations and prayer vigils led in Houses of Worship would be a more effective way of helping those in need, and would likely result in a reduction in the number of suffering people.
Parades draw public attention to a need to recognize a particular group. Attendees of a parade usually focus on and think about the group or groups marching in the parade. Time spent thinking about the group of parade participants, results in that group usually gaining a positive influence over the individuals who are viewing the parade. For example, a Memorial Day parade gains added sympathy, empathy, and a desire to help veterans. A cultural heritage parade usually influences attendees to think positively about a distinct group of people. A Saint Patrick’s day parade combines heritage with the Catholic faith affirming both to the attendees. A Gay Pride parade influences people into thinking about and desiring sexual relations and abnormal sexual relations. First and foremost, it is not appropriate to have a parade centering around sexual relations, pride, and lust. In a good, moral society, sexual relations are a very private matter (and if sex is not a private matter, then perhaps abstinence should be considered). Therefore, it is this author’s belief that homosexuals are purposely attempting to destroy the society through the promotion of sexual behavior and abnormal sexual relations, through community parades.
