Evil, as the Bible teaches us should not be confronted directly but countered through a vastly moral population and attacked, sometimes through exposure. One example of this teaching is from Mark 6: 16-18
But when Herod heard this, he said, “John, the man I beheaded, has been raised from the dead!”
For Herod himself had given orders to have John arrested, and he had him bound and put in prison. He did this because of Herodias, his brother’s wife, whom he had married. For John had been saying to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”
Possible remedies to restore the strength of the family are discussed below. Use Biblically based morality, such as following the Ten Commandments, avoiding capital sins, and abominations as a basis for solving problems.
Until the problems of societal immorality and the economy are resolved, family compounds can reduce many of the problems families are currently encountering. A family compound, based on resources or needs, can be a single family home or apartment, a home containing separate apartment units, or individual homes built on a piece of land. Family participants can include parents, children, siblings, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Costs can be shared by even division or based on need. Ownership claims can be accomplished through the purchasing of shares in a property. Probably most can understand the benefits to this arrangement. Some include childcare and child education, meal preparations, home and yard care and maintenance, appointment assistance, daytime and vacation time home security, less stress, extra free unhurried time, assistance at arriving at wise decisions, and troubleshooting to suggest several. This arrangement may also provide extra resources for parochial schooling or other positive and moral educational experiences for children. This arrangement could also help provide the funds needed to purchase a larger or other home carrying no mortgage or a minimal short term mortgage, relieving the participants of huge debt.
However, for this arrangement to be successful, cooperation between family members is essential. A professionalism of family members including a good attitude, cheerful assistance, an understanding of illness or bad mood, politeness, fair divisions of tasks, and cordiality when necessary will provide for a good functioning of this arrangement. To reiterate however, the following of Biblical morality is vital for the success of this living arrangement.
